Missions Roundup

Missions Roundup

For many, the “church year” is just getting started as back-to-school kicks off and fall ministries launch. Perhaps you and your missions team are thinking ahead to the coming months and looking for ways to raise the missions temperature in your church over the next several months. To that end, below is a roundup of several different missions engagement ideas or opportunities to consider as you pray and plan.

  1. IW Tour – For some of you, this is already underway, and for others, plans are progressing along for the spring. This a great opportunity to introduce new people to missions and to strengthen missions ties in the church.
  2. Converge – This annual gathering of Alliance pastors and missions teams is taking place in Columbus, OH this January. There will be workshops, IW speakers, and plenty of learning and discussion. Grants to assist with travel are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  3. STM Trip – This is a great time to start thinking about and planning for a summer 2025 mission trip. Resources, including trip grants, are available on the RMD STM page or by reaching out to me directly.
  4. Partnership – if you’re looking to engage people in a lasting way, consider searching for a missions partnership. Opportunities abound, including the Nelsons, our newest RMD IWs, who are looking for partner churches.
  5. Videos – The Alliance video library is more robust than ever, and the quality of content continues to improve. Take a look at the Alliance video page to stream or download.
  6. Missions Engagement – New materials continue to be released for this year’s mission engagement theme of Now. To The Harvest. As recently as last week another video was added to the collection.
  7. Coaching – Sometimes the best way to overcome an obstacle is with an individualized approach. I am available to come alongside you and/or your missions team to prayerfully pursue what God has planned for you regarding to global missions.

While these are important strategies, other options exist as well. I would be happy to talk with you anytime about any of the above, or any missions-related questions or hurdles. I’m praying that God will lead you into a missions work that is more fruitful and joyful than you could ever imagine.

Together with you,

Chris
