2025 General Council
2025 Alliance General Council will be held May 26 – 30 in Columbus, Ohio! There is still time for official workers to register and attend while taking advantage of the $1,000 District grant. Don’t forget to register for the luncheon hosted by the District which will be held on Tuesday, May 27. All the information you need can be found by clicking the more info button below. As this is a Presidential election year, the Nominating Committee nominee is scheduled to be announced on Friday, April 11th. Please also note, the Report of the President is scheduled to be released on or about Saturday, April 26th.

Ignite 2025 will be held September 29 – October 2 in Missoula, MT. Please note the dates have changed slightly from previous communications. More details to follow in the coming months.
Peaceful Bay Resort
The District has a condo available May 24 — May 31 at Peaceful Bay Resort. The resort is located on Flathead Lake in Lakeside, MT. If you are a Pastor and need a break, this condo is available free of charge. Please contact Scott Thorson for more information.

Nelson Update!
Have you heard the good news?! Our newest RMD IW family, Stephen and Kelli Nelson, have been appointed to head overseas in July with their daughter Rachel to begin work with a church planting team in Japan. They have spent the last several months preparing and getting details lined up, but have finally obtained the “all clear” and have purchased tickets to launch! Please be praying for them as they embark on this endeavor with and for the Lord.

Great Commission Day
As the Alliance family approaches the Great Commission Day Offering, a key missional moment, resources are available to encourage participation. Around the world, there are unplowed fields where the gospel has yet to be sown, and people who have turned away from Jesus. However, God’s heart is for these forgotten fields, and workers are ready to go—they just need to be sent. Churches are invited to pray and consider holding their own offering between April 1 and May 29, culminating in the National Great Commission Day celebration at Council 2025. A resource kit is available, providing videos, printable bulletin inserts, a how-to guide, and more to help churches plan and promote their participation.

Real ID Requirement
After years of delay, the TSA seems unlikely to push back the requirement for Real ID any longer. This means that anyone aged 18 and older who wants to fly will either have to have a Real ID or use their passport. If you think this may affect your travel plans for Life Conference, a domestic mission trip, or other travel, please see the following link for more information.

Short-Term Mission Trip Update
In early March ten people travelled to Rio Chico, Mexico to minister to the Tarahumara Indians. The team completed a 3 year project of expanding the chapel used for family and youth camps. This beautiful and very inviting chapel can now seat around 300 people. A praise and prayer dedication time was held at the completion of the project giving thanks to God for the life changing decisions that will be made in the chapel in years to come. Pastor Andrew (Meghan) Griffin has resigned as Associate Pastor of Youth at Cody (WY) Alliance Church and has accepted the call as Lead Pastor at Watsontown (PA) Alliance Church as of April 1, 2025.
Consecrated & Ordained
Congratulations to Rev. Judy (Kevin) Whitworth who passed her oral interview with the District Credentialing Council (DCC) on March 12, 2025 and was consecrated and ordained on Sunday afternoon, March 16th at First Alliance Church in Billings, MT. Judy serves as a chaplain/spiritual care director around the country in locations where her husband does finishing construction work.
Congratulations to Rev. Dan (Taylor) Wilde, lead pastor at Discovery Alliance Church in Missoula, MT who passed his oral interview with the District Credentialing Council (DCC) on March 11, 2025 and was consecrated and ordained on Sunday morning, March 30, 2025 at Discovery Alliance Church in Missoula, MT. Dan has served as lead pastor at Discovery Alliance since January 1, 2024.
