Time is flying by and before you know it Council will be underway. General Council is an important event in the life of The Alliance, and this year is no exception. Decisions related to the Statement of Faith and discussions regarding Alliance polity are both significant items that are scheduled to be addressed. This year there are two ways to participate in Council – onsite or online. Regardless of which option you choose, there is an RMD Council Grant to either assist with (onsite) or cover the cost (online).
Registration closes April 30, 2021, and onsite space is limited, so please don’t delay in getting your registration in.
Additionally, please make sure to get your Lay Delegates registered – the RMD Council Grant applies to them as well! Please see last month’s newsletter for more detailed Lay Delegate information.
LO&CC School
Details, including schedule and registration information, have been sent to all Ordinands and Mentors for the 2021 LO&CC School at YAA. If you have not yet registered, please email the office. We look forward to this great gathering time set aside especially for ordinand students and their mentors!
Resonate 2021
New workers in the RMD: Resonate 2021 is planned for August 2 – 5 and will be held in Colorado Springs, CO at Hotel Elegante. As a reminder, newly licensed workers are required to attend Resonate. The National Office will be sending each eligible new official worker an invitation with important details on registration, travel, and lodging, so be on the lookout for that email!

Men’s Retreat
The Wyoming Area Men’s Retreat will be held April 23-25 at Camp Bethel in Dayton, WY. This year’s speaker is Kurt McNabb, a well-known pastor, speaker, and advocate for troubled youth.

The Wyoming Area Women’s Retreat will be held April 16-18 in Casper, WY. Over the course of the weekend, women will consider how walking by faith and not by sight means believing the promise before you see the change in your situation.

Calling All Engineers!
The Envision site in El Salvador, where Laura serves (RMD IW from Great Falls, MT), is looking to remodel and add on to their facility. They have reached out to see if there are any engineers or architects who would be willing to help plan these projects. Rev. Phil (Jocelyn) Elmer has accepted a call to serve as Senior Pastor at Glendive (MT) Alliance Church. Phil was serving as the Associate Pastor and began his new role on February 15, 2021.

Mr. Zach (Sara) Kenyon has accepted a call to serve as Associate Pastor at River of Life (Alliance) Church in Idaho Falls, ID. Zach most recently served as the interim worship director at North Springs Alliance Church in Colorado Springs, CO and will begin his ministry on March 21, 2021.
