Please set aside these dates for our fall regional Preaching For Today Seminars. We will meet at Discovery Alliance Church in Missoula, MT, from Monday, October 21st to Tuesday, October 22nd. The meetings will start at 2:00 pm and conclude no later than 4:00 pm on the second day. For Billings, MT, we will meet at First Alliance Church beginning Wednesday, October 23rd, and concluding no later than 4:00 pm on Thursday, October 24th. In Casper, WY, we’ll start at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 28th, and conclude no later than 4:00 pm on Tuesday, October 29th. You are responsible for your travel to the meetings; the District Advance Fund (DAF) will cover your food and lodging while at the meetings in the city you register for.
This practical workshop is designed to increase your capacity for communicating God’s Word. As pastors and teachers, we are charged with taking God’s eternal Word to an unholy and truth-suppressing world that is opposed to God’s truth. Maintaining a proper posture and biblical faithfulness as we walk timeless principles across the bridge of distant cultures is the great challenge for every minister in every generation. We trust that this time will not only refresh and encourage you but also help to sharpen your mind and heart for this awesome work.
Dr. Donald Wiggins will be leading these interactive times. Dr. Wiggins currently does interim pastoral ministry and teaches one in-person class at Crown College. Dr. Wiggins did his undergrad at what was then St. Paul Bible College and earned his M.Div and D.Min from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in suburban Chicago, IL. He has served in The Alliance as a District Superintendent in two districts, as Vice-President of Church Ministries for The Alliance, as Corporate Vice-President, as Assistant Vice-President of Church Ministries, as National Director of Church Development, as a professor and department chair of Pastoral Ministries at Crown College and as the preaching and ministry professor at Toccoa Falls College.
Most importantly, Don has been married to his wife, Linda, for 54 years and has five adult children — all who serve (or their spouse) full-time in The Alliance! Don and Linda have sixteen grandchildren — including seven attending Tococa Falls College this fall!
